With a lot of states now having a medical marijuana policy, how do you actually get your hands on some?

Where you live

This is the main thing, along with how old you are, which affects whether or not you can buy medical marijuana. If you do not live in a state (or country) that has a medical marijuana policy, then you simply will not legally be allowed to buy medical marijuana. It is very much location based. Getting a Green Card

This is how it works in California, the state with the country's longest medical marijuana laws. What you need first is a recommendation from a doctor, usually in note form, recommending the use of marijuana for an illness. There are strict rules about this recommendation. That’s a full 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper complete with your name, date, patient ID #, expiration, a doctor’s signature, embossed seal and a way to certify its authenticity either online or by phone. More information Once you have this you can sign-up with your local dispensary. If they have a delivery service you can get this weed delivered straight to your front door.

To qualify, a California patient needs to be diagnosed by a physician as having one of the following medical conditions that is identified by the law: - Anxiety - Arthritis - Cancer - Chemotherapy Side Effects - Chronic Pain - Fibromyalgia - Glaucoma - HIV-AIDS - Migraine Headaches - Multiple Sclerosis - Radiation Therapy Side Effects - And, any other chronic or persistent medical symptom that substantially limits the ability of the person to conduct one or more major life activities (as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990) or, if not alleviated, may cause serious harm to the patient's safety or physical or mental health
