Creeping high

What is a creeping high?

Definition

There are a few different 'types of high.' So what is a creeping high?

A creeping high is one which takes a few minutes or maybe longer to kick in. We all know the feeling of taking a deep breath in from our choice medicine and feeling instantly high. This is because when you smoke a joint, the weed is almost instantly brought to your brain through the bloodstream. A creeping high is one which doesn't hit you immediately.

Whether you experience a creeping high or not depends on a few reasons. One is the strain which you're smoking. Sometimes specific strains are known as creepers. Although it's difficult to pin down the exact reasons for a creeping high, it's likely something to do with THC content. Another cause of a creeping high is the way you consume your weed. When you smoke from a vaporizer it's probable that it will take longer for you to feel the high. Indeed, I have had friends who have smoked from my vaporizer and have said that it doesn't work.

Another reason for a creeping high is because you're eating your weed. This is an important point as it can cause some pretty horrible effects. Some people (myself included) have, in the past, assumed that brownies etc weren't strong enough. They then eat more to make up for it and find all the highs creeping up at once.
