After over a time of group gatherings, bureaucratic survey, and some of the time severe industry infighting, the Los Angeles City Council discharged its draft cannabis directions Thursday. While still subject to open remark and modification, the proposed rules give a look at what the business may look like in California's biggest cannabis market.
A great part of the record is obvious. As legal advisor Hilary Bricken of the cannabis-focused Harris Bricken law office calls attention to, "the greater part of these underlying controls indistinguishably track starting state directions" under the state's medicinal cannabis law. But Los Angeles has for quite some time been something of an odd duck with regards to cannabis control, and there are a few arrangements that will keep on setting the city separated.
